ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The 39th annual Midwest Poultry Federation Convention will be held March 16-18, at the Saint Paul RiverCentre here. As the largest regional poultry convention in the U.S., the MPF Convention brings attendees the best in poultry education and an expanded exhibit floor where they can learn about the products, services and technologies that are vital to their success, MPF notes.
Attendees can expect a wide array of education sessions for poultry producers, processors, breeders and more; a sold out exhibit floor packed with the latest and greatest for the poultry industry; and hospitality events that give attendees a terrific place to network with others in the industry, the association said.
"On behalf of the MPF board of directors, I invite you to attend the 2010 MPF Convention," said 2010 MPF President Pete Rothfork, a turkey producer in Melrose, Minn. "The past year has been challenging for the poultry industry. That's why now -- more than ever -- it's important to look forward and find ways to secure a bright future for ourselves and future generations in the poultry industry. The 2010 MPF Convention is the perfect opportunity to do just that."
MPF continues to expand its exhibit space to accommodate additional companies interested in participating in the show as exhibitors. The convention kicks off on March 16 with a Pre-Show Nutrition Symposium and huge Welcome Reception.
"The Welcome Reception is one of our most popular events, and is a great opportunity to do some networking before the busy rush of the convention begins," said Rothfork.
The exhibit hall and education workshops will run March 17-18.
Exhibits
The exhibit hall booth space is nearly sold out. MPF is anticipating approximately 190 exhibiting companies to its show floor this year.
"The Exhibit Hall will feature 340 exhibits -- more than ever before -- that showcase the latest in technology, products and services for your business," Rothfork said. "Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with vendors of poults, equipment, feed ingredients, animal health products and so many other companies."
Exhibits will be open March 17-18. Show floor hours will be 9 a.m-5 p.m. on March 17 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on March 18.
A current list of exhibiting companies is available at http://www.midwestpoultry.com.
Exhibitor product demonstrations also will be available, offering attendees the chance to look at a product or service in a more in-depth way, while also networking with company sales representatives. Watch for a schedule of exhibitor product demonstrations at the registration area as well as in the on-site MPF Convention Guide.
Proceedings
MPF also notes that the 2010 Proceedings will be available during the upcoming convention
The MPF Proceedings is an excellent way to review all the educational materials presented at the 2010 MPF Convention, the association notes. With more than 40 speakers in nearly a dozen workshops, there is much to learn from each and every presentation; however time constraints at the convention mean you may not get to see many of the presentations in person. The MPF Proceedings solves this problem by offering you all the presentations in one place -- a great take-home piece to refer back to long after the convention ends.
The proceedings is available on CD-ROM only this year, and will be available to pick up at the registration desk.
