Jacques Klempf named AEB chairman for 2008



CHICAGO -- Jacques Klempf of Dixie Egg Co. in Jacksonville, Fla., has been elected chairman of the American Egg Board for 2008. He succeeds Wayne Mooney of Pilgrim's Pride Corp., Dallas.

The election was held here during AEB's March 27 meeting.

Klempf served as chairman of AEB's Advertising Committee before being named to AEB's Executive Committee in 2006. Most recently, he served as that committee's vice chairman in 2007.

The remaining officers for the 2008 AEB Executive Committee are Craig Willardson of Moark, Norco, Calif, vice chairman; Brian Hayward of Creighton Brothers LLC, Atwood, Ind., secretary; Paul Sauder of R.W. Sauder Inc., Lititz, Pa., treasurer; Tom Hertzfeld of Hertzfeld Poultry Farms, Grand Rapids, Ohio; and Bruce Dooyema of Dooyema & Sons Inc., Sioux Center, Iowa.

Ex-officio members of the Executive Committee are Immediate Past Chairman Wayne Mooney of Pilgrim's Pride Corp., Dallas, Texas; USDA Advisor Angie Snyder; and AEB President & CEO Joanne Ivy.
