GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia has issued a ruling in favor of Harrison Poultry granting summary judgment without trial in a donning and doffing case.
The case, initiated by current and former employees of the Bethlehem, Ga.-based company, had sought compensation for time spent putting on safety glasses, ear protection and hairnets.
The court also denied the plaintiff's motion to continue the action as a collective action and granted Harrison's motion to stike the numerous consents to join the lawsuit. This action ends the litigation against Harrison Poultry.
